About Me
" Hey there, thank you for stopping by, I’m so glad you’re here!
Some say that I’m a “Jill-of-all-trades”, I say I’m a maid-of-all work, (though sometimes I feel like a-maid-of-all-struggles).
I am an International Public Medical Database Anomaly, for setting precedence as the First survivor of a rare cardiovascular condition at birth, stemming from a Congenital Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, miraculously surviving a major open Abdominal Aortic Bypass surgery at 1 month old, with a remaining unknown origin.
I am the eldest of 26 internationally reported cases, and 1 of 11 known survivors, as reported in a Systematic Review published in the International Medical Journal.
I have continued to perilously navigate major complications of this condition throughout my life, undergoing two additional open Abdominal Aortic Bypass surgeries in my early 20's & 30's, reaching a crossroad in 2020 due to complications where there is currently no safe treatment, giving me nothing other than the full responsibility of creating a combination of holistic rehabilitation means, to manage my life-altering condition and preserve my quality of life. I have experienced what many haven’t. I have had to travel many streams of life’s adversity, from medical battles, to complicated relationships, to entrepreneurial transitions, to self-identity as a misfit with a rare incurable condition to societal adaptation, to self-revival in consciousness of life as a marvel.
I have been told “there’s nothing we can do for you”, more times than I can count.
I continue to navigate my rare and progressively debilitating condition by holistic means, while fighting for a combined conventional treatment. I still keep persevering forward in the belief that miracles happen everyday, while relentlessly creating my circumstances as a medical misfit. Thank you for being here. Thank you for your support ." - Emma Fitzgerald
